ACM Deutschland AG, a holding company with ambitions

Assurances du Crédit Mutuel is a major insurer in France, as a subsidiary of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale. It now wants to develop its insurance business in Germany.

So the holding company ACM Deutschland AG was created in April 2023 and is based in Düsseldorf. Two operational subsidiaries of ACM Deutschland AG were also created for life and non-life insurance business.1

Germany is already the second largest banking market for Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in the banking sector. The main business there is consumer credit, wealth management, corporate finance and leasing. Targobank is currently the main banking subsidiary of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in Germany

An insurer for private individuals in Germany

ACM Deutschland AG’s insurance products will be primarily intended to satisfy the needs of individual customers.2 The future strategic partnership with the Targobank banking network, a subsidiary of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, will make it possible to market these from 2026.

Not to mention customer claims, which are available at any time from the website and the app! This digital know-how will also be applied to the German market.

The objective: product range accessible from 2026

Assurances du Crédit Mutuel aims to have its activities up and running in the German market by 2026.

With this expansion, it intends to become a leading insurer in Germany. This growth will rely on teams of locally recruited insurance experts supported by colleagues based in France, and partnerships with local operators when necessary.
