1 Information about the collection of personal data

(1) In the following, we provide information about the collection of personal data when people use our website. Personal data is any data that relates to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behaviour.

(3) When you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (your e-mail address, possibly your name and telephone number) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete such data once storage is no longer necessary, or restrict processing if statutory retention obligations apply.

(4) If we use contracted service providers for individual functions associated with our offer or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below. We also state the criteria defined for the storage period.

2 Your rights

(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.

3 Collection of personal data during visits to our website

(1) If you only use the website for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or provide us with other information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which we need for technical reasons in order to show you our website and ensure stability and security (the legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1, first sentence of point f GDPR):

  • Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • State or other territory from which access is made
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Type of end device
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

(2) In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, allocated to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the party placing the cookie (in this case us). Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall.

4 Use of Piano Analytics

(1) On our website, usage information is collected and stored in anonymised form via the measurement processes used by Piano Analytics.

(2) Piano Analytics integrates a small image file or JavaScript into accessible websites to enable the measurement of access figures. In addition, audio and video usage within the player on the websites is also recorded. Here too, the data obtained cannot be used to personally identify visitors to this website. The collected data is only used to improve the offer. For this reason, any IP addresses are only stored in anonymised form. No other use or transfer to third parties takes place.
